Dr. Ibitoye joined the Department of Biomedical Engineering in August 2012 as Lecturer II with COREN certification and he is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department. He has been teaching several courses, especially in his core area of specialization which include Biomedical Engineering Design, Biomedical Instrumentation, Biomedical Engineering Industries, and Medical Imaging Systems. His research area is in Biomedical Instrumentation Engineering and Rehabilitation Engineering. He has extensive research experience in experimental design, data analysis, and statistical analysis of biomedical data and their clinical applications. His research studies also focus on the provision of inexpensive and effective medical equipment/devices and facilities for use in low-resource settings and emerging economies. He has widely published his research outputs in reputation journal outlets and received an award for the development of medical equipment for functional electrical muscle stimulation clinically useful for persons with a physical disability due to stroke and SCI.
