Biography

Engr. Lydia John Jilantikiri (R.Eng (COREN)) is a lecturer at the department of Biomedical Engineering. Her research interests in neuro-related fields become evident at the University of Bradford where she obtained Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) and Master of Science (M.Sc.) degrees in Medical Engineering. Here, her research projects used laboratory experiments to simulate cerebral venous outflow and examined how this is affected by Multiple Sclerosis. It also applied higher dimensional analysis to gain deeper understanding between MS and Chronic Cerebrospinal Venous Insufficiency.

She is a recipient of the Commonwealth Doctoral Scholarship and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom, in Neurorehabilitation.

She assumed duties at the department in 2016 and has since supervised and sub-supervised twelve final year projects, lectured four courses, served as level adviser across 200 till 500 levels and served on committees in the faculty.
